Great attitudes, great advice, polite & friendly.
Let us be your full service fly shop.
Our staff and ownership (the same people, for the most part), are fully dedicated to making your flyfishing experience the best it can be. We are attentive, patient, and willing to do what it takes to assure a good experience in our store and on the water. |

Andy Huber
co-owner
Involved with the fly fishing industry for more than 17 years, Andy's passion is salt water fly fishing - he's the go to guy for all things "Salt Water" related at Hook. As a former Navy man, Andy is no-nonsense and full of wisecracks which no one escapes. He hosts the Hook Flyfishing Podcast, blogs incessantly and actually finds time to go fly fishing down in Cabo with his pal Grant Hartman, owner of Baja Anglers. |
Shannon Long
co-owner
Shannon is a dedicated fly angler who also enjoys teaching the sport and it's associated aspects to new anglers. He writes, produces, films and edits the content for hookflyfishing1, (Hook's how-to video knowledge-base) and he writes and edits the Tips and Techniques section of the Hook website which he is also responsible for creating and maintaining (send your complaints to Andy, though :) |

Hyrum Taylor
As king of the All-Rounders, Hyrum can cast, tie, fish and catch with the best of them. One of the most interesting and likeable people you will ever meet, Hyrum teaches all of our fly tying classes and serves as our ad-hoc "Hook Flyfishing University" headmaster. |
Brent Boyd
(angler in residence)
Brent is a life-long angler who has become an outstanding "big trout angler". His weekly stream report contributions to the Hook Flyfishing Podcast are invaluable to fly anglers across the state. For a guy who works a full time job (albeit his own business) this guy finds more time to fish than your average trout bum. |
Nathan Lane
Originally from the North East, Nathan has adapted to the extremes of the Rocky Mountains primarily through the use of copious layers of fleece and breathable technical fabrics. You'll find Nathan filling in at the shop on occasion. He's another great guy who will help you get what you need. |
